Make Your Own Orgone Accumulators!
* Steel Wool Reels, 5-Pound (at left) and 20-Pound (below) Reels, for Building Orgone Accumulator Panels and Orgone Blankets (see note below). A fine 00 grade steel wool is now available in 5-pound or 20-pound reels. With steel wool in handy reels you can more easily make any accumulating device, from blankets to full-size accumulators, without the bother of unrolling individual steel wool pads or ordering an entire case when you need only one reel. This steel wool is made with a water soluble oil. We prefer the 00 grade to anything finer because it allows the trace oil to evaporate more easily when placed in the hot sun -- which is a good idea to do before making any orgone device. One 5-pound reel yields a long band of compressed steel wool measuring approximately 100 feet long by 4 inches wide. The 20-pound reel yields four times as much! The 4 inch wide thickness can be separated into thirds (and sometimes fourths) to triple the surface area. Three 5-pound reels is sufficient to make a 3-ply human-sized standing accumulator. One 20-pound reel will make a 5-ply accumulator. Sold only in full reels.
NOTE: Oils are used in the cutting process which sometimes is found as a residue on the steel wool. This is not a problem for orgone accumualtor panels, which are sealed, but may pose problems for orgone blanket construction. While we always try to provide steel wool which is as "oil-free" as possible, we cannot control this quality factor of manufacturing. For orgone blanket construction, we therefore advise to unreel the steel wool and lay it over an outdoor clothes-line, to expose it to direct hot sunlight for a day or two before using in an orgone blanket. This will eliminate most of any remaining oil residue which might otherwise be absorbed into and stain the organic layers of an orgone blanket. This same problem applies to steel wool as purchased in individual small pads at higher cost per pound, as from hardware stores.

* Carded Sheep's Wool "Fluff" (at right) To Layer Inside Orgone Accumulator Panels. This wonderfully natural carded wool is first cleaned, air-dried, and then carded into clouds of fluffy and resilient fiber that is perfect for stuffing pillows, children's toys, and especially for flat layering with steel wool to make an orgone accumulator or blanket. The carded wool fibres are very strong and cling together, but can be easily pulled apart and "stretched" out into flat sheets of whatever shape and thickness one desires. It is much easier and safer to handle than fiberglass insulation, and also produces a similar high charge when used in an accumulator. We recommend 5 pounds for a human-sized, box-type three-layer accumulator, or 10 pounds for a 5-ply accumulator.

The sample at left is the Pendleton Mills vintage camp blanket, but we have others from Faribault Mills, and generic varieties from around the world. We select our blankets exactly for their good charge, and suitability for the outside layer of a large orgone blanket. Also great gift all by itself - take a look.
* 100% Wool Batting, Beautiful and Soft, highly-energetic material all by itself, to use in the construction of Orgone Pillows and Orgone Blankets. We sell a very high quality felt-like wool batting which is approximately 3/8" thick, with a very wonderful soft-warm energetic feeling. This is sturdy material and cannot be easily pulled apart (as with the carded wool), which is necessary for sewing into orgone blanket layers. Most wool batting is NOT a true felt nor even "felt-like", but is simply carded wool which is too flimsy for orgone blankets. Also, some "wool felt" available in fabric stores is actually a wool-polyester mix, which is not suitable for orgone blankets. We specifically select our materials to work best for this specific purpose. It comes in individual pre-cut batts measuring 90" x 36", or 2.5 yards x 1 yard. This size of batt would make the two inside layers for a two-ply orgone blanket measuring 36" x 45". Or, purchase additional batts and make your orgone blankets as big and with as many layers as you want. NOTE: This material is not suitable for the external cover of an orgone blanket, which should be composed of an even stronger fiber or true felt material. For that, see our selection of wool blankets as noted above, or the acrylic felt material, below.

* Acrylic Felt. Acrylic felt is sturdy, holds a good orgone charge, but does not attract and hold moisture, so it makes a very good basic outer layer or cover for an orgone blanket. Acrylic also does not have a negative bioenergetic effect, as does polyester and other synthetics. Our acrylic felt is 72 inches wide, and is a dark forest-green color. A length of 2 yards (72" x 72") would provide enough material for a 3-ply orgone blanket that is 36" x 36". That would be four layers of acrylic with three layers of steel wool. You can buy all kinds of "felt" at your local fabric store, but almost always these are mixes composed of irritating polyester which often gives a clammy feeling on the skin -- our felt is 100% acrylic which is orgone-friendly and has a warm somewhat "electric" feeling all by itself.

In the 1940s, the physician and natural scientist Dr. Wilhelm Reich claimed discovery of a new form of energy which charged up living organisms and also existed in the open atmosphere and in high vacuum. Reich's laboratory and clinical findings indicated this new energy, which he called the orgone, could be photographed and measured, and had powerful life-positive biological effects. Reich trained other scientists and physicians in his findings, and together they set about applying the inexpensive orgone treatment methods - using a device called the orgone energy accumulator - against various illness, including cancer, with remarkably good results. His published findings shocked the scientific world of his day, however, ultimately leading to numerous smear articles in the popular press, and trumped-up charges by a power-drunk Food and Drug Administration. The FDA & "investigation" lead to a court trial of much greater significance than the better-known "Scopes Monkey Trial". Ignoring Reich's evidence and declaring "the orgone energy does not exist", US Courts ordered all books on the orgone subject to be literally banned and burned. Reich was thrown into prison, where he died. His work was nearly forgotten except by a small group of supporters.
In this book, former university professor Dr. James DeMeo examines Reich's evidence and reports on his own observations and laboratory experiments, which have repeatedly confirmed the reality of the orgone phenomenon. Dr. DeMeo also recounts the observations and experiments of others, particularly physicians working in private European clinics where open use of Reich's controversial orgone energy accumulator proceeds today. This Handbook gives a warning about low-level atomic and electromagnetic radiations, as from nuclear power plants, power-line fields and cell-phones, along with advice on measurement and protection against such toxic energy. The book also gives a discussion on the subject of healing waters from natural hot springs, a form of energy medicine which once was widely used in North America before the rise of the authoritarian MD-hospital system and the powerful federal bureaucracy of the FDA. Dr. DeMeo also gives detailed construction plans for people to build their own orgone energy blankets and accumulators, which are inexpensive and simple to construct, though requiring specific direction as to their materials and environments. This is the Third Revised and Expanded 2010 Edition of the Orgone Accumulator Handbook, nearly 100 pages larger than prior editions and carrying a Foreword by Dr. Eva Reich (the daughter of Dr. Wilhelm Reich), along with many photos, diagrams and charts. It retains all the original construction plans, updated to address new issues about the best materials for orgone accumulator and blanket construction. Two Appendix documents are also included, one which summarizes a double-blind and controlled clinical experiment proving the physiological effects of the orgone accumulator on volunteer subjects in a German university, and another which details the similarities of Reich's orgone energy to the cosmic ether and "dark matter" of modern physics. This new edition also includes a section providing New Evidence on the Persecution of Reich, along with a bibliography, index and many weblinks for added information.
